How does eComscan compare to free security scans?
Free security scans have limited coverage, as they can only scan publicly available assets like Javascript. This approach misses most malware (65%), which is typically concealed in server-side elements like PHP code, databases, or system processes, and deep in the checkout flow inaccessible to public scanners.
A server-side solution like eComscan is necessary to fully cover the attack surface, as it can inspect private code. Our standard license allows scanning of a single store only (as identified by a single database). However, our Enterprise 200 plan allows scanning of all store installations that are owned by the same company. Alternatively, we offer competitive licensing for agencies and hosting providers.
